Do not let this little guy's name fool you. The Pygmy or Cherub Angelfish is semi-aggressive and will attack and kill other Angelfish. Keeping it by its self is highly recommended unless you have a mating pair. Their yellow/orange face with a contrasting sapphire blue body makes them a mesmerizing fish to watch zip around your tank.
They will spend most of their day swimming in and out of the rocks in your tank eating microalgae, but they have been known to eat Clam and Clam mantles, Feather Dusters, Large Stony Polyp Corals, Bristle Worms, and Flatworms. They usually keep away from Starfish, Crabs, Snails, and Shrimp. For these reasons, we say to use caution when introducing them to your reef tanks.
