This stunning starfish requires a large aquarium with vast amounts of live rock. The Knobby Starfish will eat algae as a juvenile, but it will eat sponges, tubeworms, clams, other invertebrates, and even other starfish as an adult making this sea star none reef compatible.
Their diet consists of fish, shrimp, squid, and chopped clams fed once a week. Like most sea stars they are sensitive to high levels of copper-based medications and do not like high levels of nitrates.
CAUTION: The Knobby Starfish should not be kept with puffers.
