The Jewel Damsel is a great schooling fish to add depth and movement to your tank. As a juvenile, the Jewel Damsel usually has a black and sparkling blue dot body. As an adult, they turn brown to yellow and have smaller, indistinct spots.
Usually a temperamental fish it forms loose groups of up to twenty individuals and defends a territory over a rocky reef with plenty of crevices in which to lurk. They love to swim about the tank and are a fish you will see often.
CAUTION: The Jewel Damsel is known to be a bully and may cause issues with other fish especially in large groups, but with the right fish they are an excellent and easy fish to add to your tank.
