One of the best defenses on your clean-up crew. The Emerald Crab will even eat that pesky bubble alga! This nocturnal crab loves to hide amongst the rocks during the day and come out at night to eat just about anything in your tank requiring ample live rock for spaces to hide and scurry about.
The Emerald Crab is very tolerant of their tank mates if they have an ample supply of food or it may eat your corals, invertebrates, or small fish. Supplementing their diet with quality pellet fish food, chopped meaty foods such as shrimp, or dried seaweed will help ensure that there are no issues between tank mates. They do not cope well with copper-based treatments or fluctuating water parameters.
